 reviews Dispatches by Michael Herr

Five full stars

If you only ever read one non fiction book this should be a strong contender.

One of the greatest books about the Vietnam War in fact any war! Written by a freelance journalist riding helicopters in and out of the fire zones with the Grunts, the wounded and the dead.
Acutely observed and written with panache.
I have read and re-read this book. I have  bought it 3 times in paperback now it is on my Kindle for ever.
